Caravan Site FAQ's
Here are some frequently asked questions to assist with your stay at Field House Farm CL Site
What is included in the pitch fee?
Our pitch fee covers your caravan, awning, electric hook-up, vehicle, and accommodation for two people.
Are there hardstanding pitches available?
Yes, we offer three hardstanding pitches. Pitch 7 is the largest, located next to a Silver Birch tree, and Pitches 8 and 9 are just off the track.
How reliable is the mobile signal?
3 and O2 users typically experience a fair reception. Other networks, such as EE and Vodafone, may have weaker signals.
Can motorhomes be accommodated?
Absolutely, we can accommodate motorhomes up to 9 meters in length on our hardstanding pitches, grass pitches are used most of the year also.
Can my dog run free?
Yes, we have a small paddock where dogs can run off their lead, but this may be next to sheep and lambs in the Spring. We do have a few guidelines to ensure everyone’s enjoyment.
What is the entrance like for access with a twin axle caravan?
We successfully navigate our twin axle caravan with a pickup truck and can assure you that the journey from the main road to our CL site is straightforward.
I'm worried about how much electricity I will use, can you give me some guidance?
Your electricity useage will mainly depend on what heating elements you use in your caravan. The best way is to monitor the useage yourselves by reading the meter on arrival, then reading it again after 24 hours etc. Obviously when the weather is cold and damp you will use more electricity, unless you use gas. The useage can vary so much from 23p per night right up to £11 + per night.

Can I extend my stay and depart after 11am?
Please ask us if you want to extend beyond 11am, as it may be possible so long as your pitch isn’t required.
Is the TV & Satellite reception good?
Yes, our caravaners are having no problems with their TV & satellite signals.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival Time: Anytime between 12pm & 8pm
Departure Time: Before 11am
This allows us an hour to cut the grass around the pitches and also to prevent caravans meeting each other down the farm track (but there are passing places at either end of the track)
How many Amps are the Electric Hook Ups (EHU's)?
Currently they are all 16 amp but please don’t use high wattage appliances to prevent the whole site from tripping out. It is recommended that you use higher wattage items individually e.g. switch off your heater when you switch on the hot water and only use low wattage items, purposely made for caravaning.
Is there a Pub nearby?
Yes, there is the Drovers Arms, which is less than a mile away. Although it is within easy walking distance, please be aware that the road can be fairly busy at certain times and traffic travels at a fair speed. There is a public right of way, which is a longer route and will take around an hour. The route isn’t used much and can be overgrown at certain times of the year. The track doesn’t have a signs but you can find maps in the facilities cabin when you are here.
